Alexandria's Story

Alexandria Gaujot is a Unkranian-American visual artist based out of West Virginia. Alexandria grew up in Donetsk, Ukraine in the 1980s when Ukraine was a part of the Soviet Union. After battling cancer in 2020 her passion for creating new art and teaching art was reinvigorated. Through observational drawings, sketches and still-lives rooted in the traditional Russian techniques she learned at the Donetsk Arts College Alexandria now shares her creative gifts by teaching art lessons, staying highly involved in the regional creative arts scene, creating uniquely beautiful works of art, and using her art to inspire others and build community.
